Airport hotel pays homage to Cilla Black and Ken Dodd
Travelodge has paid homage to Cilla Black, Ken Dodd and all four members of the Beatles at its newest hotel.
The budget chain has named floors and meeting rooms at the Liverpool John Lennon Airport Travelodge after famous Scousers.
Other local celebrities lucky enough to get a name check are Paul O’Grady and Steven Gerrard.
Formerly a Holiday Inn Express, the hotel has undergone a £2 million refurbishment to bring it to Travelodge’s new contemporary brand design.
It is the group’s 26th airport hotel and its eight Travelodge in Liverpool and features 100-rooms, a Bar Cafe, three meeting rooms and on-site car-parking.
Rooms are available from £29.
Stacey Coleclough, hotel manager, said: "Customers love our new look contemporary hotel design and the homage we have paid to Britain’s most popular Scousers. It’s such a talking point at check-in."
