Alaska Airlines secures slots for nonstop London flights
Alaska Airlines has secure slots at London Heathrow Airport.
It has now confirmed daily nonstop flights from Seattle to London Heathrow will start in spring 2026.
The service will be year-round aboard Boeing Dreamliner jets featuring enclosed suites with fully lie-flat seats in Business Class.
The airline is also launching flights to Iceland
“With these bold moves, we are accelerating our vision to connect our guests to the world. We are seizing this moment to redefine the international experience and level up,” said CEO Ben Minicucci.
The airline will compete with British Airways, Delta and Virgin Atlantic on the Seattle-London route.
After initially being rebuffed, Alaska Air has now secured slots at Heathrow thanks to a leasing deal with American Airlines.
Alaska first announced plans to fly nonstop to London earlier this summer.
