All you ever wanted to know about snow
A new website marketing Australia’s best snow and ski experiences has been launched at www.snow-australia.com.
Tourism Australia is supporting the Snow Australia initiative and national campaign, providing additional funding of $250,000.
Snow Australia’s Discover Our Winter campaign has advice on renting equipment, learning to ski or snowboard, accommodation options and the best après entertainment at Thredbo, Perisher, Charlotte Pass, Selwyn Snowfields, Falls Creek, Mount Hotham, Mount Buller, Mount Baw Baw and Lake Mountain.
It will include the best package deals on offer, instructional videos for first timers, feature articles on all things snow, resort information, web cameras and snow reports.
The online Snow Australia Club will offer prizes including weekend packages, access to special offers plus a regular newsletter.
The campaign will use online advertising to promote special package deals and utilise social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and You Tube to build up a fan base and encourage conversations around Australian ski and snow experiences.
Colin Hackworth, CEO of Snow Australia, said, “All Australian snow resorts will be promoted jointly under the new campaign which brings together the snow resort operators, Tourism NSW, Tourism Victoria and Tourism Australia to persuade Australians to visit the NSW and Victorian snowfields for their first, or next, holiday in the snow rather than look to overseas.â€
