Amadeus launches cloud-based booking tool
Amadeus has launched Selling Platform Connect claiming it is accessible anywhere as the only fully cloud-based booking platform currently available.
Agents will be able to access the GDS platform from any device with internet access and the front and back office can be standardised across a company’s network.
The programme also includes ‘Cryptic Magic’ which can translate commands from other GDSs allowing travel consultants to switch between cryptic and graphic content.
"All of our travel agency customers are unique businesses with unique customers, so we set out to build a booking tool that is flexible and easy to customise to meet each travel agency’s needs.
"The latest version of Selling Platform Connect will increase productivity, lower training costs, and help travel consultants focus on what matters most: their customers and their passion," said Champa Magesh, Amadeus UK & Ireland managing director.
As part of its launch, the technology firm is running a global competition to find the world’s more passionate travel consultant.
The competition, running from February 24, 2016 to October 31, 2016, will end in November with a jury selecting three winners from the top ten most voted videos.
The prize for these three travel consultants will be a professionally produced video promoting their business and the accolade of being the world’s most passionate travel agents.
Details can be found at www.amadeus.com/share-your-passion.
