Amadeus to provide travel booking data to the United Nations
The United Nations World Tourism Organisation has signed a collaboration agreement with Amadeus to develop joint studies and analyses of global tourism.
The agreement was announced at the UNWTO’s General Assembly in Cartagena de Indias (Colombia).
The two groups will use statistical information on travel bookings collected by Amadeus to draw up forecasts and monitor trends.
Amadeus will also participate in seminars and conferences organised by the UNWTO.
The UNWTO is in charge of collecting, analysing, publishing, standardising and improving tourism statistics and promoting their integration into the United Nations system.
