A new ship and four new itineraries have been added to AmaWaterways’ river cruise programme for 2021.

Now on sale, the programme also features new pre- and post-cruise land trips.

"France is a huge focus with AmaKristina moving over to the Rhone to join AmaCello who will embark on a new itinerary exploring both the Burgundy and Provence regions," said managing director Stuart Perl.

To further meet the growing demand for French itineraries, AmaDante will join AmaLyra on the Seine and AmaCello will sail a new itinerary on both the Rhine and Saone rivers.

"High demand on the lower Danube has seen us add more departures and we have introduced new land programmes to Geneva and Lake Como, which will delight our loyal repeat guests and attract discerning travellers looking for unique experiences," added Perl.

Joining the fleet, the new 156-passenger AmaLucia (pictured here), sister ship to AmaSiena, will feature signature twin balconies, connecting staterooms and multiple dining venues.

Spending the spring in the Netherlands and Belgium, AmaLucia sets sail on March 16 2021 on a series of Tulip Time cruises before setting sail on the Danube, Rhine, Main and Moselle rivers.

AmaBella and AmaVerde will rejoin AmaWaterways’ European fleet sailing the Dutch & Belgian Waterways and the Danube.

The four new seven-night cruise itineraries are:

Impressions of the Seine & Paris sailing on board AmaDante from Paris to Le Havre (or reverse). Land options: Pre-cruise: Two nights in Paris / Post-cruise: Three nights in St. Malo with a visit to the island monastery of Mont St. Michel and one night in Paris.

Essence of Burgundy & Provence sailing on board AmaCello from Chalon-sur-Saone to Arles (or reverse). Land options: Pre-cruise: Three nights in Geneva / Post-cruise: Three in nights in Barcelona.
