American Airlines beefs up business muscle with new routes
Beefing up its business muscle after a series of highly publicized delays and technical failures, American Airlines has announced that it will launch new service to markets in Asia, Europe and Latin America and add domestic service through Dallas/Fort Worth.
Customers can begin booking travel for all these routes beginning November 5th 2012.
Asia
From its hub in Dallas/Fort Worth, American launches its first service to Seoul on May 9th, 2013. The new service will be operated as a part of American’s joint business agreement with Japan Airlines.
Europe
Starting on April 11th, 2013, American adds service between Chicago O’Hare and Dusseldorf, Germany. American’s flights will be via code share with oneworld alliance partner, airberlin., American is also adding new service between New York -‘€ JFK and Dublin, Ireland, beginning June 12th, 2013.
These new flights will be operated in conjunction with American’s Atlantic joint business partners, British Airways and Iberia.
Latin America
Starting April 2nd, 2013, American will add service between Dallas/Fort Worth and Lima, Peru.
New Domestic Routes
On February 14th, 2013, American adds new domestic service, through its regional affiliates American Eagle and ExpressJet, from Dallas/Fort Worth to: Beaumont/Port Arthur, Texas, Columbia, Mo., and Fargo, N.D, as well as new Chicago O’Hare – Columbia, Mo. service.
