American Airlines changes fee structure
American Airlines has revamped its fee schedule and will now charge up to $88 more per round trip for basic tickets that include checked bags and reservation change fees. The airline currently charges separate fees for these and other extras except on premium tickets.
The new fare levels are called "Choice," "Choice Essential" and "Choice Plus."
All three options will be sold on aa.com and through travel agents for flights on the US mainland.
