American Airlines extends Max cancelations
American Airlines is again extending cancelations for the Boeing 737 Max.
The still grounded planes will be kept off schedules until December 3, the carrier said.
By extending, the airline says it is better able to assign new aircraft to the 737 Max routes and rebook customers impacted by canceled flights.
Customers can also receive a refund.
The latest period without the beleaguered jet will result in about 140 cancelations a day.
The Max grounding has now lasted six months.
United Airlines also removed its Max planes from schedules until December 19, while Southwest Airlines said it won’t operate the Max until at least early January 2020.
The 737 Max was grounded globally in March after two fatal crashes in five months killed more than 300 people.
