American Airlines launching LA to Buenos Aires service
American Airlines is launching a new nonstop service to Buenos Aires, which will become the only route linking the Argentina capital with Los Angeles.
The route begins on December 19 and will operate three times a week with Boeing Dreamliner jets which feature 30 lie-flat seats in Business Class.
"As we look to strengthen our network, we’re excited to add more nonstop flights to places like Buenos Aires, maximizing connections across our network," said Vasu Raja, American’s vice president, network and schedule planning.
Ticket reservations for the LAX-Buenos Aires route go live in April.
Buenos Aires is just one of several new routes unveiled by the airline in the region with Cordoba in Argentina receiving four flights a week from Miami.
American will also start flying from Miami to Georgetown, Guyana and Pereira, Colombia this December, and introduces a new route linking Dallas-Fort Worth with Oaxaca, Mexico.
"As the largest US carrier in Mexico and South America, we are committed to offering more choices with the best schedules for our customers in the region," Raja added.
