American Airlines trims summer capacity due to Dreamliner delays
American Airlines has been forced to scale back international flying next summer due to delivery delays of new Boeing 787 Dreamliners it is expecting.
Lengthy delays have been caused by various maintenance issues which are being reviewed by regulators.
American says it has to trim back long-haul capacity to 80% of pre-pandemic levels from an expected 89%. The airline won’t be serving Edinburgh or Shannon next summer, it said. Prague and Dubrovnik, Croatia flights will also be shelved.
