American ramps up Chicago flights for spring
American Airlines will add 100 more flight departures in the early months of 2026 from Chicago it continues to boost its presence at the O’Hare Airport hub.
The airline is expanding through spring from Chicago with more flights to Florida for spring break to Orlando, Fort Myers, Sarasota-Bradenton, Pensacola, and Panama City.
It is also adding Las Vegas flights and to Savannah, Georgia; Asheville, North Carolina; San Diego; and San Francisco.
It amounts to more than 75 destinations served at O’Hare by spring 2026.
There will also be added frequencies to Boston, Cincinnati, and Dallas-Fort Worth.
It will be American Airlines’ largest spring schedule ever at Chicago O’Hare, with more than 500 peak season daily departures.
“We’re committed to rebuilding our Chicago hub to be stronger and more compelling for our customers,” said American Airlines chief strategy officer Steve Johnson.
“Our continued focus on Chicago during the next year — a year that we celebrate the centennial of American and our 100th year of service at ORD — will make our network even more attractive.”
