Amex GBT welcomes Australia border reopening
American Express Global Business Travel has hailed the announcement from Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison to reopen the country’s borders to international travel from next week, February 21.
‘Fortress Australia’ had enforced one of the world’s strictest border control measures, affecting both international and interstate travel.
Australia’s borders open to vaccinated travellers and other visa holders for the first time in almost two years.
