Amex set sights on online growth
American Express is looking to ramp up its online business following the appointment of Tod Lockard as UK and Ireland head of sales.
Lockard, previously EMEA head of sales and marketing for Get There, joins the management team in London along with Peter Cornwell who becomes head of client management.
Cornwell joins from Convergys where he was vice president of market development.
Amex said Lockard’s experience of the online arena will be key as it looks to develop its web business.
“He will play a critical part in leading the rapid execution of American Express online offering to clients throughout the UK and Ireland,” a statement said.
Both Lockard and Cornwell will report to vice president and head of business travel UK and Ireland Stephen Etchells.
