Anguilla eases testing requirements for international travellers
Anguilla has introduced new entry protocols for international visitors which will come into effect next week on 1 November 2021.
Travellers are no longer required to take a Covid-19 test on day four of arriving in the British Overseas Territory.
The arrival testing fee of US$200 has been reduced to US$50, and options for the pre-arrival test have been expanded to include antigen tests.
All visitors 18 years and older must be fully vaccinated to gain entry into Anguilla.
Pregnant women and children under the age of 18 years are exempt from this requirement.
Travellers must apply for Entry Permission at www.ivisitanguilla.com.
The application for entry will include an arrival testing fee of US$50 per person.
A negative Covid-19 test will still be required, but the test must now be taken no less than 2 – 5 days prior to arrival.
Acceptable test types include: RT-PCR and antigen tests.
All arrivals are then tested and will be required to stay in place at their hotel, licensed villa, or other rental accommodations while the test is processed (usually within 24 hours).
If the test result is negative, there will be no further quarantine requirement.
Random day 4 testing of guests staying on island for more than eight days will be conducted, but at no additional cost to the guest.
From Europe, Anguilla is accessible on British Airways (London Gatwick and Heathrow) or Virgin Atlantic (Heathrow) services to Antigua followed by a short inter-island flight transfer to Anguilla, or with KLM/Air France via Amsterdam/Paris to St Maarten followed by a boat or air transfer.
American Airlines is launching twice-weekly flights between Miami and Anguilla in December 2021.
