Another 2,600 jobs to go at Air France
Air France has confirmed plans to cut another 2,600 jobs by the end of next year.
It said it would achieve the cuts through attrition and early retirements, but avoiding forced redundancies.
"Within a difficult economic environment, particularly in France and south Europe, the Air France Group needs to implement the measures required to ensure an enduring turnaround in its short and medium-haul and cargo businesses," it said.
Air France-KLM’s Transform 2015 programme has already seen 5,100 jobs go at Air France through voluntary redundancy.
Last week the group announced net losses of €793m for the first six months of 2013, compared to losses of €1.27bn in the first half of last year.
