APT has announced the appointment of Zoe Palmer as its new in-house PR Executive.

Palmer has more than 15 years of international PR and marketing experience and has previously worked for a number of travel and tourism clients including South African Tourism, South African Airways, Tourism Malaysia and Travelport.

Originally from the UK, where she worked for PR agencies in London and on the South Coast, she joins APT from Melbourne-based BENCH PR.

APT general manager marketing, Debra Fox said: "APT is now of the scale we need to have PR as an in-house marketing and management resource."

Palmer replaces the PR consultancy services of Melbourne-based travel industry specialist Graeme Willingham PR, who for the past seven years has worked closely with the APT, Travelmarvel and Botanica marketing and operations teams.

"Through Graeme’s trade and consumer publicity we have significantly enhanced our brand credibility and won a high share of voice during an exciting period of strategic growth,” Fox said.
