Are you up for the peloton in Provence?
With the Tour de France due to start this Saturday in Yorkshire (this year’s first three tour stages are all in England) Tour de Vines, an Australian wine cycle tourism specialist, is anticipating strong demand for three new cycling itineraries in Provence.
The new programmes – Provence Roman, Provence Luberon and Tour de Provence – complement the Tour de Bordeaux and Tour de Loire Valley programmes.
The company says: "There is something for every level of cyclist from easy to moderate to experienced with a wide range of departures continuing to October." Tour de Vines says the tours will immerse tour members in the environment and culture "and especially in the traditional flavours that permeate Provencal cuisine and wines, seeking out the road less travelled on inspirational cycling journeys".
Dates and 2014 itineraries are available from www.tourdevines.com.au
