Aroya Cruises renames first ship
Cruise Saudi has renamed its first ship.
Operated by AROYA Cruises, it has been renamed to AROYA in an eponymous link to the brand.
The AROYA name combines the words ‘Arabian’ and ‘Roya’, which translates to ‘vision’ or ‘dream’.
Dr Joerg Rudolph, President of AROYA Cruises, said: “We are delighted to have officially renamed our first AROYA Cruises ship. We are looking forward to the launch in December 2024.”
“A new very modern form of vacation is being introduced by Aroya in the Arab world.”
The ship has capacity for 3,362 passengers, featuring 15 restaurants; 20 entertainment venues, a theatre; swimming pool, complete with kid’s water park and a spa.
Guests can choose from Interior, Seaview and Balcony cabins or AROYA’s Khuzama experience, which includes luxury Suites and Villas.
This area has VIP lounge access, a dedicated restaurant and onboard butler service.
Before launching later this year, the ship is undergoing an extensive refurbishment.
Homeporting in Jeddah, AROYA will initially sail around the Red Sea. Itineraries range from three to seven nights which include stops at a Saudi private island, Aqaba in Jordan, Sharm El Sheikh and Ain Sokhna in Egypt.
