ASI teams up with MakeMyTrip to boost historic monument ticket sales
Indian travel giant MakeMyTrip has signed an agreement with the Archaeological Survey of India to facilitate online bookings for more than 100 historic sites across the country.
The partnership includes listings for India’s most iconic heritage monuments including the Taj Mahal, the Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb and many more.
In all, there are 116 sites under the managekent of ASI available via the MakeMyTrip platform.
"We are thrilled to partner with Archaeological Survey of India to help make it convenient for travellers," said Deep Kalra, Founder and group CEO, MakeMyTrip.
For some of the sites, including the Taj Mahal, advance online bookings are mandatory due to frequent overcrowding on peak days.
MakeMyTrip offers detailed information about each monument including its history as well as practical information such as timings, connectivity and available facilities onsite.
