Asia Sales VP appointed for Movenpick Hotels
Holger Jakobs has been appointed Vice President Sales & Marketing Asia at Movenpick Hotels and Resorts.
Based in Bangkok, Jakobs will lead sales and marketing strategy in the region, where the company’s portfolio is set to triple in size within the next five years.
Previously, Jakobs was director of sales & marketing at the St Regis Bangkok and St Regis Beijing and also headed up marketing strategy in Thailand and Indonesia for properties under The Luxury Collection, Le Mèridien and Sheraton brands.
Additionally he was area director of sales & marketing for Six Senses Resorts & Spas.
"Asia is definitely our next frontier and we’re delighted to have someone with Holger’s experience to drive our sales and marketing efforts going forward," said Andreas Mattmuller, COO of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, Middle East and Asia.
"We currently operate eight hotels in Asia and have a further 17 signed projects, with the aim to operate 25 hotels on the continent by 2020."
