Asian Cup countdown begins
The countdown has begun to the biggest football event ever hosted in Australia – the AFC Asian Cup Australia 2015.
Sixteen nations will compete over 32 matches in five cities: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and Newcastle.
Socceroos captain Lucas Neill has been announced as the first Ambassador for the tournament.
The Socceroos kick off the tournament on January 9, 2015, with the championship decided 22 days later at Sydney’s Stadium Australia.
