ASTA appoints industry affairs director
The American Society of Travel Agents has appointed Kevin V. Wang as director for industry affairs & research, effective immediately.
Wang has a decade of travel trade experience at the US Travel Association and Choice Hotels International and has expertise in data analysis, research studies, and client and vendor management.
In the new role he will support senior vice president, government & industry affairs Eben Peck and Mark Meader, vice president, industry affairs in developing ASTA’s industry affairs and research strategy.
Wang will also monitor travel trade industry issues and trends and represent association members in liaison with suppliers and other industry groups.
"We strive to arm our members with critical research insights that will help them effectively market themselves to consumers and suppliers alike, and we are confident that Kevin is the right candidate for this mission, and the right fit for our organization," said ASTA president and CEO Zane Kerby.
"Given his background at US Travel and Choice Hotels, and in executing complex research projects, we know Kevin will be a key asset for ASTA and our members."
