Astronomical cost for honeymooning space flyers
If you thought you’d heard it all about enterprising marriage vows, consider this: couples are being offered an out-of-this-world honeymoon by booking space tickets aboard Virgin Galactic’s Space Ship Two.
They will not only get away from earth but do it at three times the speed of sound upwards to an altitude of 360,000 feet above earth.
Virgin’s Galactic test flight program is scheduled to begin toward the end of 2007. If all goes as planned, trips could start a year later.
How much will it cost?
A $20,000 deposit is required on each individual $200,000 ticket, which some may see as astronomical.
But it is round trip, points out the AP.
