At least five killed in South African clashes
The FCO has warned of disturbances in South Africa after outbreaks of xenophobic violence led to the death of at least five immigrants.
800 police officers have been deployed on the streets of Durban and there have been reports of localised disturbances and violence in other parts of the Kwa-Zulu Natal province and Johannesburg.
Immigrants are blamed for taking jobs and opprtunities from locals.
The FCO advised visitors to monitor local media for more information and avoid any areas affected by violence.
