ATEC has lined up some top speakers for their national tourism conference, inclduing Federal Tourism Minister Martin Ferguson, The Climate Institute’s Director of Strategic Projects, Nicolette Boele, Boeing Aviation Vice President Craig Saddler and KPMG demographer Bernard Salt, just some of the luminaries scheduled to speak at a tourism conference to be held in Newcastle and the Hunter region next month.

The Australian Tourism Export Council’s annual Symposium is the largest tourism trade conference in Australia and will attract more than 600 delegates to the region, putting local tourism operators under the global spotlight.

The Symposium conference program includes a workshop day, two days of conference sessions, numerous social functions, a full-day backpacker conference and a pre- and post-touring program designed to showcase the Newcastle and Hunter regions and their world-class food and wine offerings as up-and-coming international products and destinations.

ATEC Managing Director Matthew Hingerty said a range of top Australian and international speakers had been confirmed for Symposium, including
