Athens explosion prompts Foreign Office warning
A car bomb exploded in central Athens in the early hours of the morning, but there are no reports of any injuries.
The Foreign Office has updated its travel advice for Greece to inform visitors of the incident, but it said British nationals aren’t normally considered a specific target in Athens.
However, it added: "Attacks could happen in places visited by foreigners.
"You should be vigilant at this time."
The bomb was in the car of a prison guard and exploded outside his home in the area of Egaleo at around 3am.
