Attraction World to sell shore excursions
Attraction World has started selling a range of shore excursions for cruise passengers, focussing on ports of call in the Mediterranean.
It is offering 3,400 excursions in 680 ports on 240 cruise itineraries on 17 ships, covering the majority of Mediterranean cruises sold in the UK.
Pre-bookable excursions are available for passengers sailing on Royal Caribbean, Princess Cruises, P&O, and Celebrity Cruises.
Group sales & marketing director Tony Seaman said: "We will be offering the most popular shore excursions only in these initial 17 ports.
"Years of selling attractions has taught us to keep it focussed and to keep it simple. Agents have far too much to focus on by adding to their burden so we like to help them as much as we can".
Seaman said the sale of shore excursions by the supplier of pre-paid theme park tickets and attractions had been on the agenda for several years, but the time just hadn’t been right.
However the company has been working successfully on pre-selling shore excursions with one major customer for the past 12 months, which has prompted the company to reconsider selling other cruise lines’ itineraries through the whole of its retail network, he said.
