Auckland goes topless

Some say New Zealanders are are conservative lot, but Auckland City council has certainly embraced the modern world with a daring new attraction being approved which should see tourists flock to the streets.

A lunchtime parade of topless porn stars down the main street of New Zealand’s biggest city has been given official approval on the grounds that no laws would be broken.

The Boobs on Bikes parade later this month will feature up to 30 porn stars on the back of motorcycles or in cars riding through Auckland’s CBD to promote an erotica expo.

The expo has been running successfully for six years now, and last year, over 26,500 visitors attended this ‘lifestyle and sexuality’ show.

“Visitors to the Erotica Lifestyle Expo will walk away with more of an experience than any other expo,” says Danielle Murray-Zahorodny, coordinator for this year’s event.

“There’ll be great exhibitors, new and exciting workshops, boobs on bikes, amazing stage shows, fabulous celebrities … this all makes for a very memorable weekend.”

No doubt.
