August’s hot tickets
John Fawcett Foundation Charity Auction Dinner organiser, Harvey World Travel Sunbury’s Barry Huxley told The Mole that anyone wishing to attend the 2006 event at Flemington Racecourse on 26 August had better get their skates on, because places are filling fast for the black tie event, now in its fifth year and firmly established as one of the Australian travel industry’s premier charity events.
The John Fawcett Foundation Charity Auction Dinner and other events have to date raised thousands of dollars to assist the John Fawcett Foundation in continuing its humanitarian efforts across Indonesia and the target for this year’s dinner is $20,000.
More detail can be found at: http://www.dc.com.au/charityball and the venue for the 2006 event is Flemington’s prestigious ‘The Peak’ function centre.
Sponsors for 2006 include Millennium Hotels and Resorts, Tahiti Nui Airlines, Hamilton Island, Tasmania’s Temptations Holidays and Hayman Island, all of which have donated considerable prizes for auction on the night.
Cost of tickets is $125 per person with tables of 10 costing $1250.
