Australia to launch new TV ads aimed at mature travellers
Australia’s new £1m advertising campaign, including a 30-second TV ad, will break in the UK next Monday
The campaign, "There’s nothing like Australia", is targetted at affluent 50 to 69 year old Britons and positions Australia as "an achievable holiday destination that offers premium unique experiences", said Tourism Australia regional general manager for the UK Rodney Harrex.
Produced by DDB, the campaign features unique attractions such as the Bungle Bungles in The Kimberley, Sydney Harbour, Uluru, the Great Barrier Reef’s Lizard and Hayman Islands and South Australia’s Kangaroo Island.
The campaign has been launched in partnership with Qantas and will run until October 28. It will be followed by Tourism Australia partnerships with other airlines that fly between the UK and Australia and it will be extended in the UK through strategic tie-ups with tour operators.
