Australia’s Tourism Sector Turns Green
Industry publication Travelling in Australia Magazine (TIAM) would like to invite submissions from Australian travel product suppliers for inclusion in their upcoming cover feature.
The January/ February issue of Travelling in Australia Magazine carried an investigative cover feature about Indigenous Tourism and TIAM is currently defining the brief for their next cover feature; an investigative piece that will be published in the upcoming April/ May ATE issue.
The feature article will look at how Australia stacks up against overseas “eco destinations”, how it stands to benefit from the greening of operations, and what we stand to lose if we get it wrong.
As with the Indigenous feature, TIAM will be selecting a handful of benchmark operators from across the country and soliciting quotes. Each operator will be located within a region of unique biodiversity and asked to comment on the environmental virtues/ challenges faced by that region, the impact on operations and what this means for the visitor experience.
Authored by an environmental scientist, the overall feel of the article will be based in fact, positive in tone and compelling in nature. It will challenge commonly held perceptions of what “going green” entails and reveal how truly blessed this country is as a destination of incredible biodiversity.
To avoid disappointment, please email [email protected] 150 words by March 4, telling TIAM why they should consider your travel product, service or destination in the feature.
