Avianca adding Florida flights
South American carrier Avianca is set to launch a slew of new Florida flights.
New routes will connect various cities with Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Tampa.
Adding these new routes in 2025, the airline will then operate 16 direct routes to and from Florida to Latin America.
Flights to Miami will be served from San Jose and Guatemala City.
It also announced Medellin – Fort Lauderdale and San Salvador – Managua – Fort Lauderdale flights as well as new service to Tampa from Bogota.
“Florida has historically been a key point of connection with Latin America, so it is essential for us to help more families reconnect, boost tourism and promote business,” said Frederico Pedreira, CEO of Avianca.
“So far in 2024, we have transported more than four million travelers on more than 27,000 flights to and from the United States.”
Tampa is a new destination for the airline.
Avianca will end 2024 with a global flight network of 165 routes across more than 25 countries.
It has added eight new destinations this year.
