Avis appoints CSR manager
Avis has appointed Jason van Zuydam as manager for Corporate Social Responsibility across the EAMEA region.
He was previously quality and environmental advisor UK for a large multinational managed services company, developing its ISO 9001 and 14001 certification.
He also has a broad range of experience in the field of environmental management, including estuary, coastal, landfill and emissions management.
“We have many environmental initiatives across our European operations. Jason’s appointment will help us consolidate these activities into a common framework to ensure they are as effective as possible in meeting our longer term environmental goals,” says Lesley Colyer, director group HR and corporate affairs, Avis Europe.
Van Zuydam will undertake a comprehensive audit of environmental impacts, setting environmental targets and strategic direction.
He will also concentrate on building relationships with partners.
