BA and lastminute.com gain in static markets

Sunday, 27 Apr, 2004 0

There were few moves of any real consequence for travel and tourism shares yesterday amid stagnant conditions on London’s equity markets.

The FTSE 100 index edged forwards just 1.8 points to close at 4571.8, while the FTSE 250 did little better and added just 3.9 points to end the day at 6370.6.

Most industry shares edged backwards yesterday, though British Airways – up 3p to 303p – and lastminute.com, up 4.25p to 204.25p, made some ground.
