BA boosts flights with arrival of new aircraft
British Airways is increasing its flights for summer 2014 following the arrival of its new aircraft.
The A380 is already flying to Los Angeles and Hong Kong and will begin services to Johannesburg in February and Washington from September 2014.
The four Dreamliners will launch to Hyderabad from March 30, Chengdu from May 5, Philadelphia from June 5 and Calgary from July 5, 2014.
From May 6, Tokyo Haneda will move from five-a-week to daily flights and will be re-scheduled to leave at 8.50am rather than 6.35am.
Flights to Mexico City will increase from five to six services a week from April 27.
Cape Town will benefit from three extra flights a week through South Africa’s winter season and our summer, taking it from a daily service to 10 flights a week.
Richard Tams, British Airways’ head of UK&I sales said: "More destinations will follow as we will receive 12 A380s and 24 787s over the next three years.
"We’re also pleased to be able to increase services to the likes of Chengdu, Haneda, Mexico City and Cape Town where there is significant demand and we know regular direct flights are important to our customers."
