Agents will soon be able to book passengers onto American Airlines and Iberia flights to the US using www.ba.com.
The move follows a deal between the oneworld alliance members that has now been given the green light by the US and EU authorities.
British Airways could not give a date for when agents will be able to make the cross bookings, which is set to prove particularly useful to business travel agents, but said it would be soon.
