BA exec takes job at Eastern Airways
UK regional airline Eastern Airways has appointed an ex-British Airways sales executive to boost its business.
Keith Watson has previously worked at BA, and various BA franchise carriers - British Regional Air Lines, Maersk Air and the former British Caledonian Airways. He has also worked at Thomson and Cosmos.
Mr Watson has already started as head of sales and marketing, which is a new position at Eastern Airways.
The Humberside-based airline is hoping to position itself as the leading airline for UK domestic travel. It flies to 17 airports in the UK: Aberdeen, Belfast International, Birmingham, Bristol, Nottingham East Midlands, Edinburgh, Humberside, Inverness, Isle of Man, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted, Manchester, Southampton, Newcastle, Norwich, Teesside and Wick.
Mr Watson says the airline’s strengths lie in its network, its customer service and also its independent status. He said: "Being independent, the airline can adapt quickly to market opportunities - embrace a new route or add capacity, as and when demand requires."
