BA faced with another strike
British Airways cabin crew are planning to take further industrial action from February 17 to 20.
Their union Unite announced the next walkout by BA’s mixed fleet crew on the penultimate day of its their latest three-day strike, which ended on Saturday.
BA responded by saying that it will make contingency plans, which will be announced tomorrow (Tuesday).
"We have flown all customers to their destinations during the previous strikes by mixed fleet Unite and we will ensure this happens again," it said.
The cabin crew are striking over what their union claims is ‘poverty pay’. BA claims their wages are in line with the rest of its crew.
Unite national officer Oliver Richardson said: "Despite the bully boy tactics, the threats and the sanctions, our members in BA’s mixed fleet have conintued to show great resolve in their fight for better pay. Mixed fleet cabin crew are the future of BA and deserve better."
He urged the airline to join reconvened Acas talks.
