BA launches new Canary Island flights
British Airways is launching a new winter route from Heathrow to Tenerife from October 21.
Return fares start at £98 and the flights will run until the end of March 2018.
The service will operate alongside BA’s six flights a week to Tenerife from Gatwick.
Also, from October 29, Heathrow services to Palma, Malaga and Palermo will go from summer-only to year-round, while three flights a week from Gatwick to Paphos will also operate throughout the winter.
Sean Doyle, British Airways’ director of network and alliances, said: "Our flights to European sunshine destinations are proving incredible popular with customers, which is why we are laying on even more flights to cope with the extra demand for seats."
The airline is also launching a four-flights-a-week service from Gatwick to Nuremburg in Germany, which will operate from November 30 to January 7, providng access to the city’s Christmas market.
