BA offers 50 percent fare promo from India
As the discounted air fare war rages on in India, British Airways has got in on the act.
The UK national carrier is offering up to 50% off regular fares from India to selected destinations including London, New York and San Francisco.
The discounted fares are applicable in business, premium economy and economy class.
Tickets are available to book now until the end of September, for travel until the year-end, the airline said.
"British Airways, are always looking for opportunities to provide our Indian customers excellent value for money with an unparallelled service that they have come to expect from us," said South Asia regional commercial manager Christopher Fordyce.
Domestic carriers, including newly-launched AirAsia India have been lowering fares in a bid to increase market share, to a point where on many routes, it is cheaper to fly than take the train.
Air France last week also announced a ticket promotion for Indian flyers.
