BA to add third Saudi route
British Airways will fly daily from Heathrow to Dammam in Saudi Arabia from December 1 2019.
Flights will be operated by a four-class Boeing 777-200 departing year-round from Heathrow Terminal 5 to Dammam’s King Fahd International Airport.
BA already flies non-stop daily services to Riyadh and Jeddah.
Moran Birger, head of sales for the Middle East and Asia Pacific, said: "Our customers are currently offered a limo service between Bahrain and Dammam, but the direct service will now enable seamless travel in eight hours from our home at Heathrow.
"More than half of Saudi Arabia’s oil and gas is produced in this region, so this new link underlines the importance of the Eastern province of the Kingdom and the need for smooth onward connections to Europe and the United States."
Return fares start from £498 in World Traveller, £603 for World Traveller Plus, £2274 for Club World and £3798 in First.
This year, which marks the airline’s centenary, BA is also launching non-stop flights to Pittsburgh, Charleston, Osaka and Islamabad, alongside several short-haul routes.

The new business class seat will arrive on the first of its A350 aircraft in July.
With direct-aisle access and a ‘door’ for greater privacy, the suites will have flat-bed seats and will be in a 1-2-1 configuration.
There will be 40% more storage, including a vanity unit and mirror, WiFi, 18.5-inch inflight entertainment screens, and PC / USB power.
