BA to boost summer flights to Caribbean island
British Airways confirmed today that its twice weekly flight to the Caribbean island of Grenada will continue throughout next summer.
The Grenada Board of Tourism said the Sunday flight from Gatwick will continue to complement the Wednesday departure when BA’s summer schedule begins on March 30 next year.
Sharon Bernstein, the tourist board’s general manager for UK and Ireland, said: "British Airways has responded to travellers’ demands for flight availability which further boosts the island’s appeal, enabling even more UK travellers to experience the independent hotels that Grenada is renowned for in addition to Sandals LaSource Grenada, due to open in December this year."
Grenada is also served twice weekly by Virgin Atlantic flights from Gatwick.
