Bailey vote recount begins – votes……..where the bloody hell are you?
A report by the ABC says that with former tourism minister Fran Bailey losing the seat of McEwen to Labor’s Rob Mitchell by only six votes, The Australian Electoral Commission has decided to recount ballots due to the closeness of the result and concerns that some ballots were not counted.
More than 100,000 ballots will be reprocessed at a counting centre in Seymour.
The result is not expected to be known until next week.
