Bali bikies in trouble with the law
Police in Bali seized eight big-engine motorcycles, including Harley Davidsons, just days after a convoy of 200 such vehicles forced the wrong VIP to pull over on a road.
The VIP, according to the Jakarta Globe, was Bali Governor, I Made Mangku Pastika.
However, the chief of Bali Police, Insp. Gen. Hadiatmoko, said that the seizure of the bikes had more to do with motorcyclists abiding by traffic regulations than anything else.

Hadiatmoko did not refer to the incident on Saturday when a vehicle carrying Pastika was forced to come to a stop in a village in Tabanan.

A number of drivers in the convoy, many from Java, were waving their hands in the air or swinging their legs about in a way that forced the governor’s car had to stop, according to the Bali provincial administration office.

“The motorcycles that were seized lacked proper vehicle documentation. Also, the drivers did not have a licence,” Hadiatmoko said.
“We have warned them not to be so arrogant when they are driving their bikes on Bali’s roads.â€
