Bali hotels strengthen security links
DENPASAR – The Bali Hotels Association has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Integrated Police Radio Community Bali [IPRC].

IPRC links the public via VHF radio to the police.
The system is geared to provide reliable communications during emergencies as well as better accessibility of regular police assistance.
The IRPC enables its members to link to POLSEK Kuta 24 hours a day to provide situation updates, assisting the police to anticipate problems before they arise, track suspicious persons and to exchange security and safety related information without delays throughout southern Bali.

The initiative was started after last year’s Jakarta bombings.
Bali Hotels Association has donated initial equipment such as antennas and base stations. Training in the use of the system will also be provided.
Businesses throughout southern Bali are encouraged to sign up for IPRC.
“Every new member will boost Bali’s resilience against any threat,â€â€¨ said BHA security and safety executive, Alexander Kesper
