Bangkok Airways has teamed up with Vietnam Airlines to form a codeshare partnership.
The codeshare agreement covers both domestic and international routes including Bangkok Airways operated flights to Danang from Bangkok as well as local services from Bangkok to Phuket, Chiang Mai, Krabi and Samui.
Vietnam Airlines’ Bangkok-Ho Chi Minh and Bangkok-Hanoi services are also included.
The pact will strengthen both route networks and increase commercial sales for the two air carriers.
"Bangkok Airways continually works towards making product and service improvements for maximum passenger satisfaction. Building code-share agreements with leading international airlines is to increase its capacity through the route network and sales," said Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, president of Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited.
Bangkok Airways has codeshare agreements with 24 partner airlines, Puttipong said.
"The partnership between two 4-Star airlines ranked by Skytrax is good news for the passenges of both airlines. We are very happy to establish a codeshare partnership with Bangkok Airways. We hope the newly launched service will extend our network beyond Bangkok and offer a wider range of attractive options for customers to fly to popular travel destinations," added Duong Tri Thanh, president and CEO of Vietnam Airlines.
