Banyan Tree continues Middle East growth
SINGAPORE – Banyan Tree is to operate its first all-villa resort in Dubai
Located within an integrated project currently being developed by the Meydan LLC, Banyan Tree Meydan will be positioned as the first golf and equestrian resort in the Middle East and will comprise about 60 pool villas.
The resort will be adjacent to the Meydan Golf Course, with easy accessibility to the Meydan racecourse – which boasts the world’s first grandstand hotel, The Meydan, operated by Banyan Tree.
All suites in The Meydan provide an unobstructed view of the racecourse.
Meanwhile, Angsana is to open its first city hotel in Dubai
Slated to soft launch end 2007, Angsana Hotel & Suites Dubai will be located along Sheikh Zayed Road, the prime business and commercial district.
The property will consist of Tower 1 (417 residence suites) and Tower 2 (364 hotel rooms).
The property also features the loftiest spa in the Emirates – with the award-winning Angsana Spa located on the 45th floor and offering spectacular views of the city or the Persian Gulf.
Banyan Tree group plans further expansion in the Middle East. Currently, there are 11 properties in the region slated to open over the next few years. These include developments in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Fujairah, Jordan and Oman.
