Bat onboard forces Air India flight to land
A US-bound Air India flight turned around after a bat was found aboard. The bat was seen flying around the business class cabin.
The plane, which was heading to Newark, returned to Delhi after the pilot jettisoned fuel and the plane was fumigated.
Aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) received a preliminary report of the incident. Although birds and mice have occasionally been found aboard flights, it is thought it be the first bat incident.
