Bedswithease to expand distribution network
Bedswithease is celebrating its best trading day in 15 years with the announcement it is to expand its trade partnerships.
Sales director Paul Riches said it will announce new agreements with key agency groups in the UK and Ireland in the next couple of months.
"We have ambitious plans over the next three years to expand both our product range our distribution network in both UK and Ireland," he said.
"We have historically worked with a small number of UK agents. Now we have a lot more to offer our trade partners and will be doing all we can to increase the number of agents we work with and at the same time grow our business with our existing partners.
"We have an extremely flexible model and so can tailor our hotel offering based around best price, overrides, ‘flash sales’, marketing support or a combination of these. Many of our partners have very different models and we believe we can offer them what they require to compete in today’s market."
Initial January trading has seen turnover increase 25% on the same period last year, with January 11 its best trading day in 15 years of operation.
The Greek Islands, mainland Spain, Balearics have performed well so far, with Portugal and cities showing excellent year-on-year growth.
Riches added: "We saw a strong end to 2016, which has carried into January trading. The market is performing well in this initial period, although we believe we are outperforming in our sector."
An expansion of European destination managers will see the number of directly contracted hotels increase from 2,000 to over 5,000 by 2018.
